Celebrating the life of
Linda Faye "McKenzie" Lash
August 12, 1951 - February 10, 2026
Linda Faye McKenzie Lash, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Linda was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was wholly dedicated to her family, as she loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She also worked tirelessly on her family history and loved traveling as required to make it all perfect. She loved Revolutionary and Civil War history and was, for a time, a member of the Coastal Georgia Archeology Society (CGAS). She enjoyed working in their digs in search of relics from Georgia and South Carolina’s past.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Pastor R.J. McKenzie; her mother, Evelyn White McKenzie; and her sister, Rita Doreen McKenzie Oster. She is survived by her husband, Charles Lash Sr.; her daughter, Carolyn Cotham (Nigel); her son, Charles Lash Jr. (Tiffany); her brother, Buddy McKenzie (Debbie); her sisters, Dorothy Bland (Mel), Bobbie Williams (David), and Diane Nobles (Terry Sr.); her grandchildren, Wesley Cotham, Forrest Cotham, Garrett Cotham, Caitlyn Lash, Levi Lash, Evan Lash, and Hugh Lash; and her great-grandchildren, Brantley Cotham, Dawson Cotham, Beckam Cotham, Ayla Cotham, and soon-to-be-born Henry Cotham.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Victory Baptist Church of Savannah. A committal of the ashes will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Laurel Grove North Cemetery.

What a shocker! This is hard for me to believe. Just last week we were talking at Lowes. I am so very sorry. I am sorry I missed her service. I was driving down Montgomery Crossroad Roads this afternoon when saw to sign at the Church, I had to turn around to read it. I was hoping it did not mean what it said. So sorry. You two mean a lot to me. If I can do anything for you, call.
